Debbie Wilson is an ASCAP and Billboard Music award winning singer/songwriter located in New York City.
In 1995, Debbie Wilson earned a place in ASCAP's Extended Songwriter's Workshop with her hip-hop track "I Can Pull You", produced by BMG writer/producer Mattias Gustafsson. In 1998, Debbie teamed up with Denmark's dance/house impresario Jorgen Moller (Flex/EMI) to write her first dance tune "Everything I Need", which won her the 1999 Billboard Songwriting award for dance. She also teamed up with EMI's Jimmy Harry ("Supermodel") on three tracks, most notably their ballad "It Meant Something To Me." Her collaborations with writer/producer Glenn Erwin have yielded some of her more soulful compositions to date: the hip-hop/R&B track "Have Mercy" and a strong ballad entitled "After All". They are currently working several new titles, including the R&B taunt "Doesn't It", quiet storm-ready "Ever After", jonesin'-for-your-love slo jam "1/4 2 3" and a second anthemic ballad entitled "I'm Trying To Tell You". "Debbie Wilson is an amazingly talented and wonderful singer/songwriter," says Glenn. "She has a way with words and is equally blessed with a gift for creating beautiful melodies. Working with Debbie has been magical." Debbie Wilson is also a gifted vocalist. At one time a member of the former group "Harmony", mentored by Luther Vandross, she is the featured singer on all her tracks. Photo by LA Williams
